Activemeter Shutting Down

activemeter imageIf you have been using a free activemeter for visitor tracking on your wordpress.com blog please note this announcement and make arrangements accordingly, prior to February 28, 2011.

Greetings!
This is a reminder to let you know of ActiveMeter shutdown. Please read this email and take appropriate actions if you haven’t already done so.

While we appreciate the support and interest from you for over past 6 years of ActiveMeter, the service will be shutting down as of February 28, 2011. The decision to shutdown ActiveMeter is not an easy one and it is due to the high cost of keeping it running 24/7.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU REMOVE THE CODE FROM YOUR WEBSITE BEFORE THEN, SO THAT YOUR WEBSITE WILL NOT TRY TO ACCESS ACTIVEMETER. TRYING TO ACCESS IT WHEN IT IS SHUTDOWN WILL CAUSE YOUR WEBSITE TO SLOW AND PERHAPS NOT DISPLAY. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE PROBLEMS.

Any recurring billing will be stopped after Feb 28, 2011 and any pre-payments will be refunded after the shutdown and will be prorated accordingly.
If interested, please try ActiveProspects our free tool offering to capture and generate sales leads, or sign-up for a 30 day free trial of ActiveConversion our more advanced sales intelligence tool.

Thank you again for your past support!
Yours truly,
ActiveMeter Team

    1. Many bloggers here who I know were using activemeter. It was only free for sites that had a less than a specific number of hits daily. I believe that number was 1000 per day but I could be wrong.
